Joe & Seph’s sent me three kinds of gourmet popcorn — Classic Caramel; Smooth Caramel, Coconut and Cinnamon; and Smooth Caramel, Pepper and Chili. I really liked how this popcorn was packaged. Each flavor came in a very nice plastic resealable bag. This made it very easy to sample each flavor and close up the bag to enjoy at a later time.
I started out with the Classic Caramel which ended up being my favorite of the three flavors. It had a wonderful rich flavor, a great crunch, and it melted in your mouth. I tried the Smooth Caramel, Pepper and Chili next and it seemed to be missing something. As I began chewing on a handful I could certainly taste the black pepper, but there was very little chili flavor. Joe & Seph’s gourmet popcorn is suppose to deliver the flavors to your tongue at different intervals. The black pepper flavor came through after a few bites, but I was expecting a much stronger chili flavor at the end and it just wasn’t there. I moved on to the Smooth Caramel, Coconut and Cinnamon flavor and thought the combination of flavors was great, but it needed a stronger cinnamon flavor on the front-end. It smelled wonderful but only had a hint of cinnamon aroma, however, the coconut flavor was awesome. Joe & Seph’s also has three other flavors that I didn’t get to try — Caramel Macchiato & Whiskey, Smooth Caramel & Almond, and Smooth Caramel, Mirin, Soya & Sesame.
If you’re in England be sure to try Joe & Seph’s Gourmet Popcorn, expecially the Classic Caramel.
